After the short prologue appeared to be quite complicated for some crews, the three days come with much longer distances. Today there were 264 kilometers to pass for the SS, and they also were not so easy.

Vitaly Yevtiekhov (co-driver of Vladimir Vasilyev, #100): The day was not lucky for us. We were the first car to start, the navigators for the others, and I made several mistakes. We had to U-turn and thus lost time. And somewhere about 90 or 95 km from the start we broke two front right dampers. We had to take a good damper from the left side, so we proceed to the finish with only one front damper per side, in a quiet pace and smooth manner, very carefully.

Victor Volikov #203: Well, it was not the best day… We had a drive shaft cut, and since we were still close to the service zone we decided to turn back to repair the car. Lost about half an hour.

Dan Shchemel (co-driver of Sergey Fomin, #214): We began very carefully and till the first sands were trying to understand what was happening. We stepped on the gas, then became frightened, released the pedal… Then again stepped on it. In the sands we learned that you must not release at all or you get stuck. In our fright we passed even The Big Brother without any problem.  And I did not notify the pilot that there was it. Our crew is quite happy with the day, we broke nothing, got stuck nowhere. A couple attempts were to take the wrong way, but generally it was a good day!

Tomorrow is the third day of the race, 274 km of SS. And without the Cup competitors: the Cup has finished today.
